The concept of Costa Vallarta Boutique Villas came about as we were often asked to recommend villas, regardless of the fact that we only work with hotels. While we were not interested in becoming a villa rental office, we did know the area well enough to be able to simply recommend great places.

How villas were selected for the collection
Since 1999 we have been inspecting boutique hotels for our Mexico Boutique Hotels collection. During that time we have developed an inspection system that allows us to identify which properties are professionally operated and that offer a high level of quality service. To be a part of CVBV, each property must go through this process and the inspections continue on an annual basis. As well, if there are any complaints about a particular property, we follow each one up to see if there has been any change in the level of quality offered and would remove a property from our listing if this were the case.
About Mexico Boutique Hotels?
MBH is a collection of small, boutique hotels in Mexico (currently 36 properties in 25 locations) that offer a high level of service and a unique vacation experience. In most cases hotels have less that 50 rooms (commonly under 30) thereby making is easy to provide very personalized service. Each property is rigorously inspected before it can become a member and a follow-up inspection is done each year. MBH provides reservations services, as well as offering public relations and marketing services for the group and individual hotels. MBH has become the mark of quality for small boutique hotels in Mexico.
About Producciones Viva?
Producciones is the parent company that, along with CVBV and Mexico Boutique Hotels, offers a number of products and services to the greater Puerto Vallarta region. Producciones Viva (PV) was incorporated in 1988 and began by establishing a Multiple Listing Service (MLS) for the Puerto Vallarta real estate market. This service continues today and was the first MLS service of its kind in Mexico. As print publishers, PV has Vallarta Lifestyles magazine (published since 1989), Costa Vallarta Luxury Living (2003), Vallarta Real Estate Guide (2002) and Vallarta Map & Dining Guide (1996).
